Welcome to our
horse rescue site.
Candy has been
interested in
owning and
breeding her very
own
horses for more than 40
years, but
space constraints put
that dream on
hold up until a couple
years ago.
At first it had
been her goal to start
a breeding
operation, but while
looking for Mares
for breeding, she
took note of
several horses being
auctioned
off, some of them
to the horse meat
industry.
Through the course
of 2007 and
2008 she took in 5
horses, all of
which share space
with our 3
pure bred Quarter
Horses and their
two offspring.
This space consists
of a ten acre
field that is fenced in
and divided into 7
different areas,
and also includes
3 shelters for the
horses, one of
which houses their
stalls and feed.
One of our rescues
is a large
workhorse mare
named Big Betty
who worked as a
buggy horse for
an Amish family
and was gave
birth to a mixed
breed foal named
Betsy. We have
sincemanaged to
place Big Betty in
a loving home
with local farmer,
but as of now the
rest of these
horses still long for
loving owners with
the time, space
and experience
necessary to give
them a happy life.
In the future, we
hope to build a
new pole-barn for
the horses, train
the mixed breed
yearling, and
provide further
veterinary care and
food for these
lovely animals until
they can all be
placed.

how to do so. We
also have a
special Sponsor

donors with
horse experience
may set up

visit with the horse
they are
sponsoring.
